to hell in a handbasket.
This country is going to hell in a handbasket as my mother use to say, to bad we have only two candidates to chose from either the democrats or the republicans, and neither of them are worth the powder to blow them up. I think it is a crying shame that they are taking $700 billion or is it trillion dollars to bail out who? I say we let them fall where they may and we will all be better for it. In the long run all this is going to do is set us up for more taxation; we are no longer a democratic country, we have lost all those freedoms.

Grandma, you're right. We only get a choice between two sides of one statist duopoly, and there were much better candidates on both sides of that artificial divide. I say vote "None of the Above" by going for the third party of your choice or writing in the name of someone you admire for their integrity. Throw the bums out, regardless of their party labels.
If this bailout passes with over half the citizens opposed to it, clearly the congress-critters are voting their own interests, not the will of the people they claim to represent.
